DECEMBER 2013 HOPE KITS

Want to contribute to an initiative of Houghton High School Model UN this holiday season?

The club is asking the community to put together Learning and Personal Care kits for distribution by the organization Medical Teams International. PDF instructions available here

The club has put together starter bags with lists of the required items - ready to be filled. If you would like to help but do not have time to shop, they are also accepting donations.

You can drop by the DOW building, room 208, during normal office hours to get a kit to fill, or contact Kari Anderson to make other arrangements (karia AT mtu.edu). Kits will be accepted until January 1!

See a personal message below from Che Anderson Justice, President of Houghton High School Model UN.

HOPE KITS FOR SYRIAN REFUGEE CHILDREN

This is a community service project by the Houghton High School Model UN club. Contributions will be sent to Syrian children living in orphanages, placement centers, the dump, and refugee camps. We will be collecting HOPE KITS until the New Year, so any contribution between now and then is greatly appreciated. You can either deliver the HOPE KITS to Kari Anderson in DOW 208 or contact Che Anderson Justice for collection [via Kari Anderson - karia AT mtu.edu].

Thanks!
