Dr. Xinli Wang is an assistant professor at School of Technology. He is from Beijing, China. In the talk, Xinli will introduce the traditions and rituals of Chinese new year festival, including legend stories about the lunar new year and calendar, traditional dress, food, sacrifice and entertainment events. Throughout this talk, the Chinese traditions and their evolution and development will be introduced. You will learn how Chinese people celebrate their lunar new year and the traditional culture.
