Land of Morning Calm-Fighting! Insights on life in South Korea.

Kari Anderson and her daughter Che Anderson-Justice

Tuesday September 28-Fisher Hall(129), at 6.00-7.00pm

In simple terms, Korea is a country of two characters. Tradition is still very much alive in this part of Asia, but it can also be described as a nation of extreme modernity, where rice fields abut Samsung high-rises. We will talk about some of these extremes and also provide a little insight into the lives of waegukin (foreigners) in Korea, what it is like to live and teach there and tell you a little about why, after living there for a little over three years, we came to love it so much. We will also provide a few kinds of kimbop, a Korean fast food similar to sushi.
