Power and Politics in Zimbabwe

Dr. Kedmon Hungwe, Associate Professor in Michigan Tech’s Department of Cognitive and Learning Sciences, will discuss with us the March 29th elections in Zimbabwe, the following political unrest, and recent attempts to negotiate a power-sharing agreement.
Dr. Hungwe joined Michigan Tech’s faculty in 2002. Prior to that time, he was a Senior Lecturer in Education at the University of Zimbabwe. He currently serves as Director of Michigan Tech’s Center for Educational Technology, Research, and Assessment. His interests include African cinema, curriculum policy, science education, information and communication technologies, and international education.
